Matters needing attention in the selection of adhesive for automobile foam tape
Published Date: 2013-08-08
The shelf life of 1.
A. Each product has a shelf life. According to international and domestic standards, the shelf life refers to the condition of normal temperature (24℃). Acrylate gum is 20℃.
B. For acrylic products, the higher the temperature, the shorter the storage period.
C. For water-based products, if the temperature is below -1 ℃, the product quality will be directly affected.
2. Strength:
A. There is no universal adhesive in the world. It is best to choose special adhesive for different adhesives.
B. The strength of the adhesive itself is low, so there is no need to choose high strength products, otherwise, will be overqualified, increasing the cost.
C. High initial strength should not only be emphasized, but also good durability should be considered.
D. The performance of high temperature curing adhesive is much higher than that of room temperature curing adhesive. If high strength and good durability are required, high temperature curing adhesive should be selected.
E. For A cyanoacrylate adhesive (502 superglue) in addition to emergency or small area repair and continuous production, the material requiring high bonding strength, should not be used.
3. The other
A. White latex and UF glue should not be used to bond metals.
B. Adhesives requiring transparency can choose polyurethane adhesive, optical epoxy adhesive, saturated polyester adhesive and polyvinyl acetal adhesive.
C. Adhesive should not be corrosive to the adhesive. Such as: polystyrene foam board, can not use solvent - based neoprene adhesive.
D. Adhesives with higher brittleness should not stick to soft materials.
4. Matters needing attention when using adhesives:
A. For the adhesive of AB component, proportioning should be in accordance with the requirements of the instruction.
B. For the adhesive of AB component, it must be thoroughly stirred before use. Can not leave a dead corner, otherwise it will not solidify.
C. The adhesive must be cleaned without moisture (except underwater curing adhesive).
D. In order to achieve high bonding strength, polish the adhesive as far as possible.
E. The bonding strength is determined by the design of the bonding joint.
F. Adhesive use, must be now with now, must not be retained for too long, such as a fast curing, generally should not exceed 2 minutes.
G. If you want high strength, fast curing, depending on the situation of heating, glue, should not be too thick, generally with 0.5mm as well, the thicker the bonding effect is worse.
H. When bonding the object, it is best to apply pressure or fix it with a clamp.
I. In order to make the strength higher, it is best to leave it for 24 hours after bonding.
J. Single-component solvent-based or water-based dosage forms must be stirred evenly when used.
K. For solvent-based products, after glueing, it is appropriate to cool them until they are not sticky, and then glue them.
In short, three points viscose, seven points process.
